The jaguar is the most feared carnivorous mammal in the Amazon. Brave, strong, agile, fierce and lonely, the jaguar is a nocturnal animal. It marks its own territory and is an excellent hunter. It can also swim

Approximate size: From 4 to 6 feet long, with a tail between 18 and 30 inches long.
Favorite food: Capybaras, alligators, peccaries and fish.
